Crispy Cauliflower Wings
If you follow me on Facebook, you would probably have seen the poll we took last week about appliances.
I asked "What is one kitchen item you were hesitant to buy and now can't live without? The answers came back overwhelmingly with ONE answer:
The Air Fryer
I have to say that I am in the same boat. I had NO idea just how much I would use this handy little appliance for everything from reheating to baking. I too, love it!
There is one other use it's perfect for as well: air frying.
Basically a tiny high powered convection oven, the high heat and airflow allow for things to get super crispy and flavorful in a very short period of time. Which allows us to make one of our favorites: Crispy Fried Cauliflower Bites!
I LOVE this side dish so much that this week I went to town coming up with recipes and flavor combinations to make this poor little vegetable SING.
Both Jacqueline and I had a really tough time deciding which combination we liked best!
Thee truth is, following a basic recipe of 4 teaspoons oil and 1 teaspoon of seasoning per 2 C of cauliflower florets, the possibilities are ENDLESS! 😊

Add the cauliflower to a large bowl.
Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with seasoning or glaze of your choice. Do NOT wash the bowl, simply set it aside.
Add to your air fryer basket in one layer. Careful not to overcrowd the basket- the air needs to circulate around each piece to crisp.
Cook on 400 for 4 minutes. Open the air fryer and toss the cauliflower. Cook for an additional 4 minutes.
Pour the cauliflower back into the bowl with the residual oil and seasoning. Sprinkle with a pinch of Dash of Desperation (or salt and pepper) and toss to coat.
