Ingredients
-
2 pounds lean grilling steak
-
1 teaspoon plus 1 pinch Stacey Hawkins Dash of Desperation Seasoning, divided
-
4 Tablespoons light cream cheese (NOT fat free)
-
½ Tablespoon Stacey Hawkins Tricolore Peppercorns
-
2 Tablespoons chicken broth
Directions
Make the sauce first- it can be done even an hour or two ahead of time and refrigerated after preparing. When ready to use, simply reheat in the microwave for 30 seconds to one minute until warm.
Preheat outdoor grill to medium high heat. (Alternately, cook in a cast iron pan on the stovetop.)
Season meat with 1 teaspoon Dash of Desperation Seasoning, and place on the grill for 5-10 minutes, turning once. Cooking time is dependent on the thickness of the steak and desired done-ness.
SAUCE
Place the cream cheese, broth, peppercorns and pinch of dash of desperation into a small, microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir to combine and then cook for one minute more. Set aside to let the flavors meld.
Remove steak from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve 5 ounces of sliced beef with 1 Tablespoon of sauce per serving and enjoy!
