Want to Live Longer? Join the Club!

Want to live longer? Join the club! (Literally...)

Happy Monday my Beautiful friend,

This weekend, I celebrated something pretty amazing—the 50th anniversary of my car club. Fifty years of chrome, curves, and community. That’s not just impressive... it’s inspiring. Especially considering our very first Club President from 1975 is still an active member!

And as I stood there surrounded by generations of car lovers—some who’ve been in the club for all 5 decades—I was reminded of something we all really need to hear from time to time:
We are not meant to do this life alone.

Community is more than just nice people waving to you at the grocery store. It’s mental stimulation, emotional connection, and shared joy. It’s purpose. It’s belonging. And yes—it’s fun- something we ALL need to have more of in our lives.

Science backs this up, by the way.
The people in the world’s Blue Zones (you know, the places where folks live longer, healthier, more joyful lives) don’t just eat well and walk a lot—they stay connected. They have purpose, laughter, shared meals, strong bonds. In short: they have a crew.

And let me tell you—nothing lights up your soul like being surrounded by people who just get it. That shared feeling, the understanding, the camaraderie that comes without having to say anything? It's priceless.

It doesn’t have to be a car club. Maybe it’s a cooking group, or your pickleball squad, or the ladies in your art class who talk more than they paint. Maybe it’s walking dogs at the shelter or volunteering at your local library.

Whatever it is—find your people.

Because when we connect around a shared passion, something magic happens.
We laugh more. We live longer.
And life just gets... more flavorful.

So this week, take a look around. Ask yourself where you can plug in.
And don’t be afraid to just show up and be the new kid—every community starts with a first hello.

Oh, and if you want a peek at what 50 years of friendship, fuel, and fun looks like, check out the photo above that I’m sharing today. I couldn’t be more proud to be part of something with this kind of horsepower. 💥
