Decision, Dedication, Determination

It Doesn't Happen Overnight...

This weekend, I stood on the sidelines of the Ironman in Lake Placid, NY—watching in awe as 2,500+  athletes swam 2.3 miles, biked 112 more, then topped it off with a 26.2-mile marathon. And the top woman? Did it in less than 9 hours... 8:43:29 to be exact!

That’s right.
A long swim.
A really really long bike ride.
And then... a full marathon.
All in the same day.

And here's the kicker: they weren’t all elite athletes with chiseled abs and protein shake endorsements. No ma’am. These were people of every age, every size, every background—men and women in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s—a LOT of them with gray hair peeking out from under their bike helmets, grinning as they passed mile 90.

How did they do it?

Not by waking up last Wednesday and deciding, “You know what sounds fun? Maybe I’ll do an Ironman this weekend.”

Nope.

They decided, yes. And like any decision we make, large or small, they had good intentions.
But then they got dedicated.
And they stayed determined—every single day.

And that hit me hard.

Because let’s be real—I’ve made plenty of decisions in my life. Grand plans. Big goals. Bold declarations said out loud... and then quietly ghosted by the following Wednesday.

And when I look back?
It wasn’t the dream that failed. It was the follow-through.

Dedication and determination aren’t sexy words. They’re not flashy. They don’t sparkle like “manifestation” or “alignment.” But they’re the real engines behind everything we want—especially when it comes to our health, our energy, our bodies, and the way we feed ourselves.

Here’s the truth I had to face (and maybe you do too):

If we don’t put it in, we can’t expect to get it out.
A flavorful life doesn’t happen by accident.
It happens bite by bite.
Win by win.
Decision by decision.
And yes—through dedication and determination.

So, I’m asking you this Monday morning…
Are you determined to live your most flavorful life?

If so, I’m right here. With the recipes, the shortcuts, the support, and a good dose of real talk when you need it.

You don’t need to run an Ironman.
But you do need to show up for yourself like a woman who means it.
Because once that mindset shifts and we stay dedicated and determined?
That my friend, is were the magic happens. And I'm so happy to be here doing it with you.

Here's to your flavorful life!!
