Oh La La! Shrimp cocktail is one of those classic appetizers that are perfect for a low carb, lean and green recipe. When made with a sugar-free ketchup and just the right amount of zing from our Kickin' Cajun spice, this Optavia 5&1 recipe is full of mouthwatering flavor.

Enjoy as part of a meal, or indulge as your entire meal. No matter which way you decide, you're going to love every mouthful.

Happy Cooking~

Ingredients

  • 1 / 2 pound large shrimp, cleaned. (raw or cooked)

  • 4 T sugar free ketchup

  • 1-2 tsp Stacey Hawkins Kickin’ Cajun Seasoning

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the ketchup and Cajun seasoning. Set aside to let the flavors develop.

  2. If using raw shrimp, steam or boil until cooked. Clean and chill in an ice water bath.

  3. If using precooked shrimp, rinse & dry well.

  4. Measure 2 ounces of shrimp for an appetizer, 7 ounces for a meal. Place the shrimp over the rim of a cocktail glass. For a little more presentation, you can place a small leaf of lettuce in the bottom of the glass.

  5. Place 1 Tablespoon of sauce in the bottom of the glass (or use the entire portion for a meal.) Place the glass in the refrigerator and chill until ready to serve.
