This quick and easy family recipe for Baked Farmhouse Chicken in Garlic Butter Sauce transforms a simple chicken breast into a lick-the-plate masterpiece. Using just a few ingredients combined with Wow! Farmhouse Chicken and Veggie Seasoning this rich, flavorful dish makes for a flavor forward family dinner recipe!

We love pairing this with Roasted Garlic Wilted Spinach, baked potatoes or double up the veggie by tossing whatever "roastable" veggies you have left in the crisper with some Wow! Roasted Garlic Oil and Dash of Desperation and putting on a baking sheet to roast alongside the chicken. It's a two for one deal!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • Pinch Dash of Desperation Seasoning

  • 4 Tablespoons butter

  • ½ Tablespoon Farmhouse Chicken and Veggie Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

  • 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley, basil or other greens finely chopped for garnish (optional)

  • Nonstick cooking spray or olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Using a meat mallet (or the back of a small frying pan) pound the chicken breasts into ½” thick pieces. Season with Dash of Desperation seasoning on both sides.

  2. Spray an oven safe skillet with nonstick cooking spray or lightly coat with 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Heat over medium high heat.

  3. Sear chicken breasts on both sides. While the chicken is cooking, combine butter, Farmhouse Chicken Seasoning and lemon juice in a small microwave safe bowl. Heat for 30 seconds at a time until butter is melted. Set aside.

  4. Remove the chicken from the heat and pour the seasoned melted butter over the chicken. Place in the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 160° F.

  5. Remove from the oven and tent with foil to keep warm. Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165° F. THIS is a crucial step in keeping the chicken moist, juicy and not overcooked. Sprinkle with fresh chopped herbs, serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
